Max's Favorite Things

Lately Max has been really into favorites. He has a favorite everything and wants to know everyone else's favorite too. He loves calling family members to learn about their favorites and gets especially excited when they have the same favorite as him. And he is so good at remembering and pointing them all out. Like when we pass the Super 8 Motel on Lombard he says, "Mommy, it's your favorite number." Every time. Or "This spoon is green, like Daddy's favorite color." We've even had to guess at some of Jack's favorites so Max will just stop bugging us about it. (If you're wondering, Jack's favorite number is 1 and color is blue.) But my personal favorite thing that he points out are the buses. "Hey, there's the Number 1 California bus, that's Jack favorite number." And, "That's the Number 22 Fillmore bus, that's Daddy's favorite number." It's lucky we live near such great bus lines.
Here are some of Max's favorites:
Number: 3
Color: Red
Letter: A (He used to say A, then pause making you think he's done, then blurt out the rest of the alphabet. I loved it. Lately he's just been sticking to the letter A, though.)
Food: Banana
Treat: Fruit Snacks
Beverage: Lemonade (Wemomade)
Movie: Constantly changing. Has been everything from Mary Poppins to Smurfs to Aladdin
Shirt: Fluorescent Green Kangaroo Zoo shirt
Animal: Elephant
Song: Also constantly changing, but seems mostly to rotate between Mary Poppins songs (at first he liked Step in Time best, but now he likes Supercalifragilistic...), A Whole New World, and Letter Factory Songs.
Heavenly Object: The moon (He asked me, "Mommy, what's your favorite: the sun, the moon, or the earth?" I guess our trips to the Academy are paying off.)

uh-oh, someone else in the family who is obsessed with numbers. the next thing you need to teach max is that when the clock says it's 12:10, it's his birthday....every day. fun game, huh! 3:08 for addi, 12:22 for blake, etc. then he'll notice numbers ALL THE TIME!
