Tourists

Today we took a break from our packing activities and decided to be San Francisco tourists on this unusually HOT 87 degree day. We started by going on a Duck Tour. A vehicle that's a car and a boat--a duck! The tour was both fun and very informative. I learned where the term "Shanghai" and "like a sitting duck" came from and also about the revolt against prohibition at none other than Hotel Utah in San Francisco. The boys loved it. They may have started to get bored of the information, but you when you're under 4 or have a mustache, you can never get bored of blowing your quacker!

But the most exciting part was when we splashed down into the bay near McCovey Cove. So fun. The captain even let Max drive the boat. He was so proud.
We stayed down on the Wharf and had clam chowder and sour dough bread bowls for lunch. Perfect for a hot, hot day!
We came back home and did some more packing and said goodbye to our trusty rental minivan and then it was already time for dinner. We ate at Gordo's and then, on a whim, went to the best ice cream spot in the city: Bi-Rite. So much better than Ghirardelli if you ask me. Is that a crime to even say?
We ended up seeing the spectacular views and watching the sunset from Twin Peaks. It's fun to be tourists.

It really is crazy that you are packing up to leave SF. But, you look really great in that mustard color - I love that shirt. Happy moving!

PS - I thought I must have missed a post about your new car, but I searched and couldn't find one. Minivan? If it's really true, you've got to share the details now that you're in the club!

We've LOVED every minute of being a tourist! To bad that so many people don't get the love and care of their tourist guides like we did! You've made each visit different and ALWAYS FUN!!!
