Anticlimactic Graduation
This weekend was Blake's "graduation." So, we went to the Alumni Banquet. We weren't going to go but then Blake snagged a free ticket for me so we went. Only one of Blake's classmates came and during the dinner they acknowledged every other graduating program except ortho. At least the dessert was really, really good.We attended all the pomp and circumstance, this year held at the Symphony Hall at 5:00 pm, basically the worst time ever for a graduation. We anxiously awaited for Blake to march in and then Jack and Gus fell asleep and Max ate every single treat he could find in my bag.
Blake was the fourth to last person to walk across the stage, where he received a "Certificate of Participation" in the day's events. Lucky guy! Then, of course, we took A LOT of pictures of our special participator! :)

And we finished off the evening with a fancy shmancy dinner in the most beautiful location.
Tomorrow Blake's classes go on as usual until the end of September when hopefully he receives a REAL diploma!

a "certificate of appreciation" is so rude and weird. why would they do that?! that's fun you guys went to the banquet..even though you got snubbed. it's always fun to get dressed up and eat an overpriced dinner.
a certificate of participation! ouch. you would think they would make a bigger deal after all that schooling. but pretty pictures. thats what really matters right!
opps that was me.
congratulations blake! you've been in school for a really long time.
