One Last Night Out on the Town
Last night, after Blake was finished with his patients, he picked me up and took me to the San Francisco Symphony. A faculty member at the school gave Blake some excellent tickets that we couldn't pass up--they were in a box and everything. Why would someone want to just give up these tickets, you ask? Well apparently, Itzhak Perlman was supposed to be conducting but fell very ill at the last minute, so the faculty member didn't want to go anymore. Crazy. Blake and I never knew a conductor could make that big of a difference. We loved the music--Beethoven and Brahms. And according to the lady sitting next to us, it was much better than the more modern composers the symphony has been featuring lately. Baby Brother definitely enjoyed Beethoven more. He was moving around like crazy. And don't they (whoever "they" is) say you should play classical music to your belly to make your baby smarter? Well, it must have worked for this guy. And as we were leaving a couple in our box told us it was very classy that we'd come to the symphony right before having our baby. That's us--Blake and Addi--two CLASSY people!

i am jealous. i love going to anything with classical music. baby brother is going to be so so smart now. way to go.

Our last date before Sammy was also the Symphony. This boy is going to be every bit as cute, smart, rambunctious, and amazing as Sammy! You are very lucky.
what a fun night. and i dont think you needed to go listen to classical music to make brother smart. it runs in the family, look at his aunt beth! :) and you are the most unreal pregnant person i have even known. looks so fake and i love every bit of it. im not ready for it to go away.
