Gus's Second Week

During Gus's second week, he spent more time all bundled up and in his carseat on the go as we try to figure out the new norm for our family.
Having three kids is hard. There are way too many needs to be met and schedules to accommodate. But when I have nice little helpers it definitely makes things easier. And I'm sure Gus enjoyed his nice smooth ride (ahem...NOT smooth) to the park--Max pushed him the entire way (with Jack helping at times) and he was dead asleep when we got there.
I have learned one very, very important thing about Gus this week--he likes his alone time. Sometimes he'll cry and cry and cry and there is nothing I can do to soothe him. I found that he really loves to just lay on the changing table and be left alone. I'm so glad I found this out sooner rather than later.
Happy Second Week, Gus! I just love this little face that I constantly have staring up at me!

he is just so cute. Three is crazy.

ugh. crazy. I'm sure poor Gus will be a good napper and sleep through anything. Way to get out of the house so soon. I still avoid it with all 3 kids!

Could he have more beautiful facial features? What an adorable little guy. You probably remember I made a schedule when London was born that was very lax but I knew what we were doing every day. We went for a walk after breakfast, then put my 1-year old down for a nap around 11, and that became my one-on-one time with my 3-year old.

When she woke up, my 3-year old when then have his "quiet time" for an hour, reading and playing in his room after lunch - which was my one on one time with my 1-year old.

Our newborn slept like crazy, waking only to eat and then play for about 30 minutes after eating until she got the hiccups, which were followed by cries, and then we put her back down for a nap.

If I was playing a board game with my 3-year old, she was in my lap if she was awake, and hardly moved at least when she was really tiny. I know you'll get a routine that you love. Your boys are SUPER lucky to have you for a mom. Your writing always inspires me and is uplifting and optimistic and it's obvious you love them to pieces.

I have to agree with Melissa.... your boys are super lucky to have you as a Mom! They also are super lucky to have Blake as their Dad and each other to help you take care of them!

Loved the photo's!

Way to go Max (and Jack).... that is a long push!
