Olympics Here We Come!
Today was Max's last day of gymnastics. Those 8 weeks went by much, much, much too quickly. And the 45 minutes of class time literally went too fast since the teacher started ending class earlier and earlier as the weeks went on. But don't worry. Even though she was putting the equipment away, we didn't start getting on our shoes until we got all (and maybe a little more) than we paid for!
Here are some of the events Max mastered during this session of gymnastics--
The rings (one-handed-upside-down AND the basic two-handed)
Jumping on and off everything (Notice the concentration--sticking the tongue out--this takes in the second picture. Very Michael Jordanesque.)
The parachute (on and under)
And yes, even gaining enough courage to give the teacher a high five at the end of the class.
But where Max really excels is in mixed doubles gymnastics. And his partner is, of course, Augey.
Mixed doubles parachute--Max thought it was funny to chase Audrey and then fall down on top of her.

Mixed doubles rings
Giving Audrey a ride on the gymnastics car with a little help from Mom.
And stealing a little kiss in the tunnel.
WE LOVE GYMNASTICS!

what a little womanizer already! and i love his little gymnastics shirt. does this make blake reminisce about his old gymnastics days? what could've been....
What a star! I can definitely see the Olympics in his future! I love his little girlfriend!
Maybe we should enroll them in ice skating next...they really could have a future together!
blake, i'm re-living those gymnastics days. . .i'm wondering if max will ever spend his birthday--the ENTIRE day--at gymnastics like his daddy. it was worth it for silver gym-guy, wasn't it? he twirls! (of course i still have him, silly).
These are the cutest pictures. I am so sorry it was over so quickly!! Max and Audrey should take up another sport together! Addi, if you send me your email address, I will send you an invite to view my blog site. I received a spyware comment on one of my posts this morning. I didn't realize it was searchable for anyone and posted as a blog on the blogspot homepage until I went into my settings. So I am going to make it a private blog at least for a little while. My email is melissa.sanders@gmail.com. Love, M
I'm sad it's over. But I'm glad we got to squeeze every last minute of fun out of it. Cute pictures by the way.
You know.... I really think the reason Max loves gymnastics so much is the doubles participation and that stolen kiss in the tunnel. I'm sure he gets that from his dad! Those guys are pretty smart!
I remember I thought that parachute was the coolest thing when I was little!!!
looks like max enjoyed doing his own thing. cute pics--i like the michael jordanesque one. is he going to sign up again?
