Bitten
I'm a dork. I know. But at least I am {usually} not alone. Just to prove my dorkiness once again, I met up with fellow dork, Hillary (she prefers to say "obsessed") to attend the midnight release party of Breaking Dawn. And to add to all the dorkiness, before we could leave for the party we had to make some Twilight shirts. I mean, what if there was a contest for best t-shirt or something? Plus, as Hillary pointed out, these aren't just a one-time-wear shirt. We have ward Breaking Dawn Book Club, the Twilight movie in December, and general reading wear.
When we arrived at Border's on Union Square, our party destination, a little after 11, we were completely shocked by the number of Twilight displays in ratio to the number of people in the store. There were a gazillion displays and zero people. Well, people there for Breaking Dawn. There were several old men searching through the books and a few store employees, but that was it. We were dying at the "party." When we went to get wristbands for our books I was number 120. WHAT? Where were the rest of the people? Apparently the party was on the fourth floor. The store had a fourth floor? When we finally found it, yes, there was indeed 100 people there--several teenage girls and their chauffeurs (mothers). And we made it just in time for some trivia, where Hillary proved she was definitely more "obsessed" than I. This girl was shouting out names of old Quileute Chiefs like you wouldn't believe. Seriously--who reads, let alone remembers, all those names? Apparently people who are "obsessed." We got some buttons that said, "Bitten by Breaking Dawn" and then found a place to wait for the clock to strike midnight. We had our books and fake vampire teeth by 12:15, then took our picture and headed home. Then, unlike Hillary who stayed up reading the night away, I went home, read the last chapter of the book and went to bed. I know, it's my bad habit (my ONLY bad habit, right Blake?), but I can't help it. Bite ME Edward!

addi, you ARE a dork! ash told me yesterday about you going and your tshirt and we were laughing...not AT you, i'm sure you would've joined in had you been there. i can't believe you always read the last chapter. i've never done that in my whole life. you're so daring. and i can't get myself to sift through the 100+ pictures from CA in order to make a post. maybe soon. we'll see.
you two could be sisters. you look alike, you think alike, you act alike. i think it's adorable--i wish i was fun like you.

When I went to the Barnes in San Diego, everyone working in the store had Twilight shirts (so you'll definitely fit in down here...) There was one that said
"8.8.02 - Enough Said." Maybe that'll inspire your movie shirt! Thank you for getting me hooked on these books - I love them/Edward!
You are NOT a dork! I am a fan of the Twilight series as well, but I pre-ordered my book online....cause I love my sleep more than I love Edward :)
I also went to a midnight release party in New York! So I guess I am a dork too. But I didn't have a homemade t-shirt on so maybe you are more of a dork than I am! :) I read the 1st chapter that night, not the LAST! I can't believe you read the last chapter of every book. But now I want you to tell me how it ends...
Now I understand why you were only on page 100 when I asked on Sunday. You failed to mentioned that you had read the ending. I must admit, you might come by it a little honestly. I didn't go right to the end, but couldn't wait to see if she would be turned so, yes, I did skip to the end too.
you ARE a dork. a cute one :) i am on the second book addi. proud? and i love that you read the last chapter. i dont have the guts to do that.
D*@& mastitis! I would have been there in a heartbeat! I love being a dork with you, it's one of my all time favorite things to do.
The shirts are so cute!

Addi I finally finish it....and I loved every minute of it. But I'm kind of sad that's all over now. I'm just glad I have the movie to look forward too. Girls night out here we come...
